A Glance at the Life of Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (A.S. Peace Be Upon Him)
Imam Hasan was the older son of Imam Ali and Lady Fatima Zahra` (A.S. Peace Be Upon Them) – the younger son being Imam Hussain. While Imam Hasan was only a boy of about seven years when the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.A.W.A.) passed away, the Messenger of God made a point to recognize Imam Hasan with distinction. In several traditions, the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.A.W.A.) is narrated to have said: `Hasan and Hussain are the Masters of the Youths in Paradise.`
